Builders Still Looking for More Signs of Recovery

On a snowy February afternoon, key leaders from the region’s building trades gathered at the Freighthouse District offices of Ingram’s Magazine for the 10th annual Ingram’s Construction and Design Industry Outlook. Sponsoring the event was Mark One Electric, whose vice president, Carl Privitera, served as chair for the assembly.

This meeting was part of Ingram’s ongoing effort to highlight issues of interest to the civic and business community in Kansas City’s greater metropolitan area. In the 10 years of such assemblies, this one was quite possibly the least optimistic. Yet everyone in attendance was working hard to assure the best possible future for their respective organizations, and all had interesting suggestions as to how to make that future brighter.
